Warm and Sunny Conditions On The Way

GOOD EVENING. WE HAD ANOTHER NICE DAY ALONG THE CENTRAL COAST WITH SOME MILD TEMPERATURES AND PARTLY CLOUDY SKIES. WE ENDED UP PICKING UP A FEW MORE SCATTERED SHOWERS INCLUDING THE FEW HUNDRETHS THAT FELL OVER THE SANTA CRUZ MOUNTAINS EARLY THIS MORNING. TEMPERATURES WERE VERY SIMILAR TO YESTERDAY, BUT HAVE STARTED TO SHOW THE ONCOMING WARMING TREND. WHILE THE FORECAST HIGHS ACROSS THE STATE TOMORROW WILL BE WARMER THAN TODAY’S HIGHS, WE ARE STILL BELOW AVERAGE AS THE LOW MOVES OVER CALIFORNIA. AS THIS LOW MOVES OFF, WE WILL GRADUALLY TRANSITION TO TEMPERATURES AROUND 5-10 DEGREES ABOVE AVERAGE. IT DOES NOT LOOK LIKE THERE ARE ANY SIGNIFICANT HEAT WAVES ON THE HORIZON, WHICH IS GOOD. IF WE LOOK AT THE MOISTURE ASSOCIATED WITH THE LOW, IT IS MOVING UP THROUGH NORTHERN CALIFORNIA AND BRINGING SOME THUNDERSTORMS TO NEVADA. THERE IS ALSO AMPLE MOISTURE OVER ARIZONA. THESE ARE CREATING A NUMBER OF THUNDERSTORM AND FLOOD WARNINGS ACROSS THE SOUTHWEST, BUT IT LOOKS LIKE CALIFORNIA IS IN THE CLEAR. WE DID GET SOME MORE RAINFALL OVER THE MOSQUITO FIRE TODAY, WHICH CONTINUES TO REDUCE FIRE ACTIVITY. TOMORROW, IT LOOKS LIKE CALIFORNIA WILL BE MOSTLY BACK TO SUNNY SKIES. ON THE CENTRAL COAST, WE MAY HAVE A LITTLE PATCHY FOG IN THE MORNING, BUT EXPECT CLEAR SKIES THROUGHOUT MOST OF THE DAY. WINDS WILL BE AROUND 10-20 MPH FROM THE NORTHWEST. OVERALL, EXPECT MOSTLY SUNNY SKIES, MILD BUT WARMER TEMPERATURES, AND AN AFTERNOON BREEZE. WE WILL WARMUP TO ABOVE ABOVE AVERAGE TEMPERATURES BY THIS WEEKEND, BUT THERE ARE NO TRIPLE DIGITS IN THE FORECAST. FORECAST.
