Rowland tearing up opponents in Iranian Super League

Rejuvenated with fresh legs, E.J. Rowland has put his stamp on the Chemidor B.C. basketball team of the Iranian Super League, helping them reach the postseason.

In 10 games, Rowland led the team in assists at 6.3 a night, and is second on the team in scoring at 17.4 points a game, averaging a team high 34.3 minutes a contest.

Rowland is shooting 50 percent from the field and 90.2 percent from the free throw line for Chemidor, who reached the semifinals of the Asian SuperLeague playoffs.

A former Palma and Hartnell College prodigy, the 6-foot-3 Rowland has enjoyed a 15 year professional career overseas.

The 37-year-old is in the Russian Hall of Fame, having earned VTB United League MVP honors in 2013, when he was the VTB scoring champion and playoff MVP.
