The Golden State Warriors practiced at TD Garden in preparation for Game 3 of the NBA finals against the Boston Celtics on Wednesday.
The series is tied at 1-1 as the two legacy teams battle it out on the court. The Celtics have won 17 world championships. (1957, 1959, 1960, 1961, 1962, 1963, 1964, 1965, 1966, 1968, 1969, 1974, 1976, 1981, 1984, 1986, and 2008.)
The Warriors have won only five NBA championships (1956, 1975, 2015, 2017, and 2018) and one Basketball Association of America (BAA) title in 1947. The Warriors were founded in 1946 and were originally based in Philadelphia.
Andre Iguodala wouldn’t tip his hand before practice Tuesday as to whether he’ll play in Game 3 of the NBA Finals. He sat out the Warriors’ blowout Game 2 win Sunday night due to swelling in his right knee which flared up one day prior.Head coach Steve Kerr previously said the 38-year-old was day-to-day.
Even if he’s not available, Iguodala, with his 18 years of NBA experience, still serves a valuable role for the team, working almost as another coach as he mentors the younger players who are navigating their first title run.
Game 3 will be Wednesday at 6:00 p.m. PST.
