Photos: Giants-Dodgers rivalry finally heads to the postseason and here’s what it looks like

The San Francisco Giants and Los Angeles Dodgers have one of the longest-running rivalries in baseball, but they have never met in the postseason until now.

The two teams face off in Game 1 of the National League Division Series. Their first playoff matchup is shaping up to be a memorable one. The two have had the best records in the MLB this season. The Giants finished ahead of the Dodgers with a 107-55 record at the end of the season. (The L.A. team had a 106-56 finish.) The two teams boast their share of stars but their stories are drastically different. San Francisco surprised the experts with how well they did while Los Angeles, the defending champions, have a team loaded with talent.

The rivalry will take another step as the two teams meet Friday. They will play again Saturday and Monday. Games 4 and 5 will be Tuesday and Thursday if necessary. Here are some pictures from the game. This article will be updated regularly.
