Photos: Beat L.A. (in basketball) as Warriors take on the Lakers in preseason

The Giants’ matchup against Dodgers wasn’t the only San Francisco-Los Angeles contest Friday night. A few blocks down the road at Chase Center, the Warriors took on the Lakers in a preseason game.

It didn’t have the intensity of postseason baseball, but the contest did have its moments and share of stars as LeBron James and Russell Westbrook took to the floor for the first time this preseason and went up against Stephen Curry, Draymond Green and Andre Iguodala, who returned as a Warrior after two seasons with the Heat.

Being a preseason game, the play wasn’t exactly crisp and clean. It was downright sloppy at times. Nevertheless, it was a game of note as both teams will prepare to face each other again as one of the opening games of the NBA’s 75th anniversary season. Here are some images from the game.
