Person hospitalized from shark attack near Lovers Point

A person was possibly attacked by a shark near Lovers Point Beach, Wednesday morning. According to the Pacific Grove city councilman Joe Amelia, a surfer was attacked around 11 a.m. while in the water near Lovers Point. Amelio said that the surfer suffered major injuries to the stomach and leg. He was taken to the hospital. It is believed it was a shark attack because a shark was seen in the water. A person was possibly attacked by a shark near Lovers Point Beach, Wednesday morning.
