Stevenson defeats Greenfield, 43-27 Pirates wide receiver Evan Johnson contributed on all six Stevenson touchdowns. The CCS champion sprinter had five receiving touchdowns along with one passing touchdown. Pirates quarterback Kyle McTamaney delivered those five touchdown passes.Santa Cruz defeats Carmel, 54-14 The Cardinals continue their success in the Mission division with a big victory over the Padres. Santa Cruz is now 3-0 in league play and 6-0 overall. Gabe Uribe, Josh Bendix and Miles Reber all found the endzone for Santa Cruz, along with three touchdowns from running back Qwentin Brown. Alisal defeats Monte Vista Christian, 21-6 The Trojans earn their second league win of the season. North Salinas defeats Gonzales, 40-7 The Vikings earn their second win of league play with help from three touchdowns by Jesus Organista. Gilroy defeats Soledad, 29-6 The Mustangs earn a home win and improve to 2-1 in Mission division play. King City defeats Watsonville, 7-0 The Mustangs defense earns its third shutout of the season. King City is now 5-0 in Mission division play. St. Francis defeats Harbor, 42-7 The Sharks have won four games in a row and are at the top of the Santa Lucia division with a 3-0 record in league play. Palma defeats Alvarez, 41-7 The Chieftains are now 3-1 in Gabilan division play after a home win over the Eagles.Scotts Valley defeats Sequoia, 35-0 The Falcons win an afternoon game against Sequoia High School from Redwood City. Scotts Valley is now 5-1 this season with two victories in the Cypress league. Salinas defeats Seaside, 42-0 The Salinas Cowboys improve to 4-0 in league play with a shutout victory against Seaside High. The Spartans have yet to win a game this season.
