Heat Advisory in Place as Warming Trend Peaks

GOOD EVENING. WE HAD WARMER TEMPERATURES TODAY WITH OUR HOTTEST LOCATION BEING GILROY AT 95 DEGREES. WE’RE STILL RELATIVELY WARM RIGHT NOW WITH MANY CITIES 5-10 DEGREES WARMER THAN WE WERE AT THIS TIME YESTERDAY. THE REASON FOR THIS WARMUP IS THE HIGH PRESSURE THAT IS SET TO STRENGTHEN OVER CALIFORNIA TOMORROW. FORECAST HIGHS ACROSS THE STATE TODAY WERE IN THE MID 90S, BUT TOMORROW WE SHOULD SEE THE RETURN OF SOME TRIPLE DIGITS. TUESDAY LOOKS TO BE THE WARMEST DAY OF THE WEEK, AND THERE IS A HEAT ADVISORY IN PLACE FOR OUR MOUNTAINS/VALLEYS. THIS HEAT ALERT IS SET TO EXPIRE AT 10 PM ON TUESDAY. WITH THIS HEAT, WE WILL ALSO HAVE ABUNDANT SUNSHINE. THE OCEAN BREEZE IN THE AFTERNOON WILL KEEP OUR COASTAL LOCATIONS COOLER THAN CITIES LIKE KING CITY OR GILROY, BUT THE ENTIRE CENTRAL COAST SHOULD BE ABOVE AVERAGE. THERE WILL BE A CUTOFF LOW OFF OF SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA TOMORROW. WE WILL KEEP AN EYE ON THIS OVER THE NEXT COUPLE OF DAYS AS MODERATE BREEZE. .### HERE IS YOUR KSBW WEATHER QUIZ FOR TODAY AGAIN… READ QUESTION AND ANSWERS ON GRAPHIC. (ANCHORS AD LIB TO SHOWN. ####
