The South Monterey County Task Force served a search warrant Thursday at a home on the 50 block of Moreno St. in Greenfield.Officers say it was part of an ongoing embezzlement investigation of a school district employee. During the search of the house, detectives found firearms and items listed as missing and stolen from the school district.The case will be forwarded to the Monterey County District Attorney’s Office for criminal charges.The South Monterey County Task Force is made up of Greenfield and Soledad police detectives, Homeland Security Investigations, and the Drug Enforcement Administration.
