California Rodeo Salinas: Big Week Kick Off Concert with Toby Keith moved to 2022

SALINAS — After being bumped to 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the California Rodeo Salinas has moved its Big Week Kick Off Concert featuring country music superstar Toby Keith to 2022 due to the ongoing uncertainty of health regulations of outdoor events.

The concert, which was first scheduled for 2020 and is being produced by the California Rodeo Salinas and David Drew Productions, has been moved to July 15, 2022.

“We know it’s been a frustrating year and we are all looking forward to the return of our annual concert, but we need to wait another year to enjoy Toby Keith’s performance,” said David Drew of David Drew Productions in a press release. “We really appreciate the ongoing support of our Kick Off Concert Sponsors and our community.”

Keith was also scheduled to compete in the 2021 AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am until the pandemic forced organizers to cancel the celebrity segment of the event.

Ticketholders can use their July 2020 concert tickets for the July 2022 concert or request a refund. Refunds will be offered until June 3 and may be requested by filling out a form online: Contact the Ticket Office via email ( with any questions as the Salinas Sports Complex Ticket Office is currently closed. Additional tickets for the July 15, 2022, concert are not currently on sale.

Opening acts will be announced at a later date.
