A 3.1 magnitude earthquake rattles Gilroy

A preliminary 3.1 magnitude earthquake struck outside of Gilroy Wednesday morning. According to the United States Geological Survey, the earthquake hit just off highway 152 at 9:08 a.m. and was centered about 5.7 miles southeast of Gilroy with a depth of 2.4 miles.There were no immediate reports of damage.
