3.5 earthquake hits near Pinnacles National Park on Sunday

A 3.5 magnitude earthquake hit near Pinnacles National Park in San Benito County on Sunday morning.It was originally registered as a 3.8 magnitude quake. According to the United States Geological Survey, it happened at 11:57 a.m. Weak to light shaking was reported across the region, according to the USGS website. It was centered about 15 miles northeast of Soledad in a rural area of San Benito County.There were no reports of injuries or damages.This is the third earthquake to hit the area since Sept. 1, when a 4.0 magnitude quake hit three miles east northeast of Pinnacles. On Sept. 2, a 2.9 magnitude hit three miles northeast of the national park.
