
Two people were killed and more than a half-dozen people were injured following a head-on crash Wednesday afternoon near Aromas, the California Highway Patrol reported. Two pickup trucks, one carrying four people and the other carrying five, crashed head-on while driving on Highway 129 around 3:45 p.m. The highway was closed for several hours as crews investigated and cleared the crash. The CHP reported on Thursday that two people died from the crash. All others involved in the crash suffered injuries. One vehicle had three juvenile passengers. As of publication they survived the crash. The CHP reported that the vehicles were from Los Banos and Visalia. The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
